FFA Creativity: Taxing

Taxing Hill

I’ve been trying to bike a lot lately, which is good for me. Unfortunately, you could say I’m not quite in top biking shape, and any incline or hill is just painful. I went for one of my first “long” bike rides to hunt for historical markers this weekend, and this hill was right near the beginning of my ride. It may not look like much, but it was quite taxing to me. The thing that makes this worse is that stop sign for the railroad tracks, right at the bottom of the hill.

This is my entry for the fifth Free-For-All Creativity meme. The theme this week is “taxing.” Feel free to join in if you have something to say about it!

FFA Creativity: Flight

Helicopter

Here’s my down-to-the-wire entry for this week’s Free-For-All Creativity meme. The theme this week is “flight,” and since I’ve had quite a busy week, it seems appropriate. My last-minute entry is a remote-control helicopter that Logan got for Christmas. Sadly, we crashed it once too much, so it keeps flying right back into the wall. We need to re-balance something or other.

Free-For-All Creativity: Empty

Empty
This week’s FFA Creativity theme is empty. It seems quite appropriate, as I’m feeling particularly drained this week. I wasn’t quite sure how to put the sense of mental emptiness into a photo though, so I went with a more literal interpretation, and you have to project my state of mind on the photo. I like that you can see me in the glass in this photo. That makes it seem more appropriate somehow.

Free-For-All Creativity: Centered

The theme for this week’s FFA-Creativity meme is centered. Yoga is one of the things in my life that can help center me. After a long day, it can really be useful to come to my yoga mat and gather myself. So, today you get to see my yoga-based interpretation of “centered”:

Free-For-All Creativity: Leap

My good friend, Linda, has made it one her goals to start a meme this year. This week, she debuted Free-For-All Creativity, where she provides a creative prompt and you should take that prompt and do something with it, be it a photo, a poem, story, whatever. Anyway, this week’s prompt was “leap,” so I spent some time in my basement trying to get a good photo for this week’s theme. (On a side note, my thighs still hurt from jumping so much!) I like what I ended up with, even though I know that there’s room for improvement.

Leap!

For some reason though, everyone I’ve shown it to immediately thinks of iPods. Ah well.
