Knitting Progress

It’s been awhile since I’ve made any updates on my longer-term knitting progress. So here goes. First off, we have my first pair of fingering-weight socks. These have had an interesting history. On my first attempt, after I finished the cuff and the heel flap, I realized I couldn’t fit them over my heel. Ouch. I’m not a speedy knitter, so that set me back a fair bit, both in time and motivation. Eventually, I cast on again, with two extra froot loops. This past weekend I finally got to unused yarn, and I turned my heel. It’s getting rather sock-like, and more importantly, it fits!

And then we have the sweater. Started oh-so-long ago. I’d been making good progress on this, and then I got distracted by my Coachella. I had some good times fixing the half of the increases, but I’m glad I took the time to make it right. At any rate, I need to finish sleeve number two and make a hood. Perhaps some pockets, and then some way of closing it. I had planned a zipper, but it looks like it might be a button-type sweater instead. Hmm. We’ll think about that later.

Oh I love that sweater! And your Fruit Loops sock is turning out great… it’s on my to-knit list for sure!
