Thanks for leaving the comment on all of my ripping and redoing (more to be done today…). I love the cables on the raglan line of this sweater — it looks great!
I love the tweediness of the yarn. It’s going to be gorgeous when finished.
I didn’t get a chance to ask you Saturday if you were a member of Ravelry, a fabulous knitting and crochet site. If you are, feel free to add me to your friends’ list (same screen name — I use it virtually everywhere), and if you aren’t, go join! Pronto!
Thanks for commenting all! I’m quite pleased with the progress so far, but I think it’ll be awhile before I’ll actually get to wear it (and I might be too chicken to actually add the zipper. Sewing’s not my forte).
Avanta – I am indeed a member of ravelry – that’s part of what’s fueled my renewed addiction to knitting. So much beautiful, inspiring stuff there!
Thanks! I liked the original sweater, but it just didn’t fit well enough to wear it often. With my urge to knit a sweater and not wanting to spend a lot of money, it made sense to repurpose the original one.

I can crochet up a storm, but never have been able to pick up knitting
Gorgeous! Looking forward to the finished product!(PS: Thanks for visiting my blog!)
I have been seeing a lot of these lately. I think I need to make one. I love the color. Great photo~

What a great idea! I am a new knitter. I have some old sweaters, maybe soon I could give it a try!
That is such a great idea! I like what you’ve done with it so far.
